Minor pentatonic

Hi there. I have seen that the scales used in Beginner improv and Swing Mastery are the mixolydian, major pentatonic, swing six (pent. Major add 3b), arpeggios, with 9 ... etc, but I don't think you use the minor pentatonic (1,3b , 4,5,7b). Is there a reason or is it that it will be in successive videos? Thank you

You are right, I have not (yet) discussed the minor pentatonic in a lesson series, for a few reasons.. but mainly that the minor pentatonic is- generally speaking- more of a 'modern' sound, that was not generally used in the swing era. For the Swing Mastery series- I wanted to keep within the style as accurately as possible.

But you can bet I'll be discussing it in future videos!
